Bespoke "Storytelling" Poster Paintings

The author of five books and counting, Dwight Knowlton is passionate about "the STORY", and dedicated to both the research and the visual storytelling via the creation of original poster art.

These storytelling posters allow any car to be the poster car. They display well paired with the car in a collection, or on a wall in the den, celebrating that favorite car or memory. They can celebrate an accomplished and significant race car – or tell the story a car that entered in a significant race that ended with a DNF.  They can capture a car at an exact moment in that car's story, whether it be racing history, or family history.

Each poster painting is the culmination of many hours of research, and can include any detail imaginable. Details depicted can include race name, track name, track map, logos, event date, drivers, owner or line of ownership, the correct livery and equipment, weather, and more. For some significant and historic cars, it can be a multi-poster series capturing several liveries across multiple significant races, each featuring the relevant dates, tracks and races.

Painted either digitally or traditionally with acrylic on canvas sized at a standard poster size of 24x36".
